Media Institution Ownership  Public Service Broadcasting: Public Service Broadcasting (PSB) means that programmes are made for the public, as they strive to entertain their viewers. They usually do not have advertisements. PSB's are generally transmit programming that aims to improve society by informing viewers about news and important information.  The BBC is a good example of Public Service Broadcasting. Unit 1: Textual Analysis Textual analysis is the close analysis of media texts in order to interpret the meaning(s) created by a director. To help analyse media texts, we can split it up into 4 microelements: Cinematography, Sound, Mise-en-scene & Editing.
