  • Cumulative Worldwide Gross: $1,276,480,335
  • Film that is continuously making money every year, from merchandise, being showed on tv, new frozen film (Frozen 2).


Why do Disney Film tend to appeal to adults and children alike?
  • For adults they can have nostalgia, when watch back the film. (emotion connection possibly?)
  • Younger children appeal to the movies because of the funny cool character and because of disbelieve and children wanting their children coming to life. 


Rating by Demographic:

  • When rating Frozen more older men 45 and above reviewed the film, whereas younger men 18 and below as well as women 18 and below didn't.  
  • Very limited rating as it doesn't included all other demographic topics, such as ethnicity, location.

Frozen Audiences:
  • With 80% of the audience composed of families, Disney predictably reeled in its target audience with ease.
  • Almost 20% of the audience were non-families, that's almost $18 million in ticket sales.
  • Toy Story 3's non-family audience was 40% 17 to 24 year olds.  

Animated and young adult films offer a simple, pure form of escapism. As we deal with financial and political unrest, it's reassuring to watch a film where we know the stakes and the outcome. There is no moral ambiguity or uncertain endings; good will prevail. If the hero works hard, he or she will win something no longer guaranteed for the real life of

  • Opening weekend: £2,493,948 (United Kingdom), 21 may 2010, limited release.


Rating by Demographic:
  • More men watched it than females, possibly the 'male gaze theory'. 


World's End:
  • Box Office
  • Budget: $20,000,000 (estimated)
  • Opening Weekend USA: $8,790,237, 25th August 2013, wide release
  • Gross USA: $26,004,851
  • Cumulative Worldwide Gross: $46,089,287 

Rating by Demographic:

  • wider gap between males and females. Across every category males came across stronger than females. Males reviewed the film more.
