Why do we watch films?
  • Traditional and Digital advertising: Anything before the internet, such as TV advert, trailers, billboards, newspapers and magazines (Traditional). Anything part of the web 2.0, such as adverts on youtube ad social media (Digital).
  • Above/Below the line: Mass media used to promote brands and reach out to the target audience.
  • Black Box: A Black Box is a device that supplies us with all of our information and media requirements, for example a smartphone.
  • Downloading: When media products are transferred to a device from a webpage and consumed offline, such as podcasts, audio files in mp3.
  • Streaming: Where media is consumed online without being downloaded.

Frozen Case Study:
  • Youtube channel that is dedicated to frozen (10 million views)
  • A whole section on the disney website that frozen has, with video, games and information
  • Social Media, facebook, Instagram.
  • False undersell.
