'Street Dance 3D' Advertising and Marketing

Budget: £4.5 Million
WorldWide Gross: $46,281,90
Opening Weekend: £2,493,948 (United Kingdom)

Traditional Advertisements:

A traditional poster was used in France to promote and advertise the film. There where also other posters made for other counties so that they could heavily promote and advertise the film all around Europe.

A trailer/teaser was also made along with the poster so that the poster could be explained and given more context in more depth without having to spoil the actual film and to encourage the public to watch the film, the trailer was only played constantly on TVs as a TV advert, even though is was also released on Youtube, however Youtube wasn't as big then as it is now so more people saw it on TV and on posters than on Youtube. The trailer on Youtube is in German to attract a German Audience.

Digital Advertisements:

For Digital Advertisements 'Street Dance 3D' did not have an Instagram Account or Twitter account, however they do have tags on both which allows the public to see images and video that are part of the film. This promotes and advertises the film using the audience and their love for the trailer, because they are posting images and videos from the trailer and the movie itself. This can then encourage other people to watch the film.

They do however have verified Facebook accounts, one general one and one in Australia. The account has 1.9 Million likes and the Australian one has 63k likes. This promotes and advertises the film to the public, specifically a younger audience at the time as they all had facebook, whereas nowadays everyone has facebook. This encourages a younger audience to watch the film.

The film itself does not have a website, but they do have a link on the BBC website that shows a trailer of the film and gives a synopsis of the film to the audience. Which is good because the audience can decide if they are interested in the film based of the synopsis.

The film doesn't have a Youtube channel but they have released their film onto Youtube Films, which is a extension of youtube, however you do have to pay £3.49 in order to watch it on Youtube Films. They do also have trailers on Youtube but not on their own youtube account on other accounts and they all apart from one have under a million views. The one that does have more than a million is at 1.9 million views. The trailer on Youtube that has 1.9 million views is in German to attract a German demographic to watch the film. The amount if views on this specific video shows that the film was promoted heavily in Europe and that it was a popular film in countries that are a part of Europe, such as German and France.
