Film Audiences Frozen: Box office Budget: $150,000,000 (estimated) Opening weekend USA: $243,390,000 24th November 2013 limited release Gross USA: $400,738,009 Cumulative Worldwide Gross: $1,276,480,335 Film that is continuously making money every year, from merchandise, being showed on tv, new frozen film (Frozen 2). Why do Disney Film tend to appeal to adults and children alike? For adults they can have nostalgia, when watch back the film. (emotion connection possibly?) Analyse how mise-en-scene elements contributed to the construction of stereotypes in media product you have studied (15 marks). In the bathroom fight scene during 'Worlds End' it conforms to  the negative  stereotypes and stigma of gang culture. The elements within mise-en-scene have contributed massively  to the construction of stereotypes in the film 'Worlds End'. Du e to the media representing hoodies as negative and with a bad connotation in order to scapegoat gang culture, t his is conformed  to within the sequence by showing young hooded boys who start a fight with older men. Another stereotype in bathroom fight scene that is conformed is Asian representation.  This links to mise-en-scene as one of the characters ethnicity is Asian.  In the scene the characters that are Asian are stereotypically represented as having fighting ability, the stigma being that all Asian people have learnt karate in their life time,  wh...

Film Analysis Verisimilitude :  How real the world of a story appears to the audience - how realistic and believable it is. Diegesis/Diegetic World:   The world in which the film takes place. 'Street Dance 3D' Advertising and Marketing Budget: £4.5 Million  WorldWide Gross:  $46,281,90 Opening Weekend:   £ 2,493,948 (United Kingdom) Traditional Advertisements: A traditional poster was used in France to promote and advertise the film. There where also other posters made for other counties so that they could heavily promote and advertise the film all around Europe.   A trailer/teaser was also made along with the poster so that the poster could be explained and given more context in more depth without having to spoil the actual film and to encourage the public to watch the film, the trailer was only played constantly on TVs as a TV advert, even though is was also released on Youtube, however Youtube wasn't as big then as it is now so more people saw it on TV and on posters than on Youtube. Film Advertising: Why do we watch films? Traditional and Digital advertising:  Anything before the internet,  such as TV advert, trailers, billboards, newspapers and magazines (Traditional). Anything part of the web 2.0, such as adverts on youtube ad social media (Digital). Above/Below the line : Mass media used to promote brands and reach out to the target audience. Black Box : A Black Box is a device that supplies us with all of our information and media requirements, for example a smartphone. Downloading : When media products are transferred to a device from a webpage and consumed offline, such as podcasts, audio files in mp3. Streaming : Where media is consumed online without being downloaded. Frozen Case Study: Youtube   channel that is dedicated to frozen (10 million views) A whole section on the disney website that frozen has, with video, games and information Social Media, facebook, Instagram.
